Zinc | InVision Hospitality announces the groundbreaking of the first Zinc City in Cochin, India (23/11/2011)

After the successful launch of GLOW by Zinc in Greater Noida, Zinc | InVision Hospitality announces its second hotel venture in India. The recent 2011 groundbreaking ceremony for Zinc City Cochin was conducted by Zinc | InVision CEO, Kevin Beauvais and Rahul Chaudhary, Executive Director for the Indian-Sub Continent.
 
Zinc City is the second property in India for Zinc | InVision Hospitality and it is expected to be operational by the second quarter 2013. The upper mid-tier, 158-room Zinc City is located in the Kakkanad district of Cochin. The brand highlights innovative and smart functionality and is strategically designed for the contemporary urban traveler. The hotel is expected to create 200 job opportunities for the city.
 
The bustling IT district of Kochi, Kakkanad, is home to Kochi InfoPark, the second largest IT industrial park in Kerala; it also encompasses the Software Export Promotion Zone (SEPZ). In addition, the up and coming suburb has several state and central government offices, the Cochin Special Economic Zone (CSEZ), and the terrestrial relay station of the national television broadcaster, Doordarshan.
